Troubleshooting
If something doesn't look right, start here. Most issues come down to access, timing or the size of a baseline.
Finding & opening the app
I can't find Baselines in Confluence
Open Apps in the left sidebar and look under Your apps for Baselines. If it isn't there, confirm with an administrator that the app is installed (Confluence settings → Manage apps).
Creating baselines
A page I expected isn't in the baseline
Check that it was selected in the Page Selection step and that you have permission to read it — Baselines only captures content you can access. Re-open the space tree and confirm the page (and its parent) were ticked.
Creating or retaking a baseline is slow
Large selections take longer to assemble because each page is captured individually. Give big spaces a moment to finish; the baseline appears on the dashboard when it's done.
PDF export
The export is taking a while
Image-heavy or very large baselines (hundreds of pages) take longer to process and produce a bigger file. Keep the progress dialog open — the download starts automatically when it reads Export complete.
An image is missing from the PDF
Externally hosted images depend on their source being reachable at export time. Embedded attachments captured in the baseline are included directly. If a specific image is missing, confirm it displays on the live Confluence page first.
Import
Import created a new page instead of updating the old one
That's by design — import always publishes a fresh, timestamped page so nothing is overwritten. Review, move or tidy the imported page once you've recovered what you need.
Contact support with the baseline name and a description of what you expected — we're happy to help.
