Baselines Import & restore
Publish a baseline's captured content back into Confluence. Import recreates the snapshot as a Confluence page with its attachments — a straightforward way to recover or reinstate content.
Run an import
Click the Import action on a baseline's row, or the Import button in the baseline detail header. Baselines publishes the snapshot to Confluence and shows each stage as it completes.
The stages are Starting Import, Merge Pages, Publish Page and Publish Attachment(s). When it reads Import complete, use View in Confluence to open the newly created page.
What gets created
Import creates a new Confluence page from the baseline's content (named after the baseline, with a timestamp) and attaches the baseline's files to it. Your existing pages are left untouched — nothing is overwritten — so import is a safe way to bring back a past state alongside current content.
Combined with scheduled baselines, import gives you a simple restore path: snapshot nightly, and if a page is damaged or deleted, import the most recent baseline to recover its content.
Because import always publishes a fresh page rather than editing the original, you may want to review and tidy up the imported page (or move it) once you've recovered what you need.
