These terms govern your use of Baselines for Confluence Cloud, a content-snapshot app published by Plugin Developers. Baselines is licensed to you, not sold. You get the app through the Atlassian Marketplace, so distribution, billing, refunds and trials follow Atlassian's terms — not ours. The app's interface runs on Atlassian Forge, and it is served by a backend that Plugin Developers operates on Amazon Web Services; to provide baselines it reads your Confluence content and processes it on that backend. Use the app lawfully, and uninstall it any time to end this agreement. Plain-language summaries like this one are for convenience; the full sections below control.
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are a binding agreement between you — the organisation and individuals who install or use the Baselines app (collectively, "you") — and Plugin Developers ("Plugin Developers", "we", "us" or "our"), the publisher of Baselines.
"Baselines" or the "App" means the Baselines for Confluence Cloud application — an Atlassian app distributed on the Atlassian Marketplace, comprising an Atlassian Forge frontend and a backend service that Plugin Developers operates — together with its updates and documentation. "Atlassian" means Atlassian Pty Ltd and its affiliates. "Marketplace" means the Atlassian Marketplace.
By installing, accessing or using Baselines, you accept these Terms. If you are accepting on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation, and "you" includes it. If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.
Baselines is published and licensed by Plugin Developers, not by Atlassian. Atlassian is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the App or for supporting it; Atlassian's role is limited to operating the Atlassian Marketplace and the Forge and Confluence platforms the App integrates with. Any dispute about the App is between you and Plugin Developers.
Subject to these Terms and to your compliance with them, Plugin Developers grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable licence to install and use Baselines within your authorised Atlassian Cloud sites, for your internal business purposes, for as long as your Marketplace entitlement is active.
Baselines is licensed, not sold. Plugin Developers reserves all rights not expressly granted to you in these Terms. The licence is non-transferable, and you may not assign or sub-license it except as part of a permitted transfer of your Atlassian site under Atlassian's terms. The features available to you depend on your Marketplace entitlement, which is the sole authority for what your licence unlocks.
Baselines is distributed exclusively through the Atlassian Marketplace. Your acquisition of, and payment for, the App is a transaction between you and Atlassian, governed by Atlassian's Marketplace Terms of Use and related Atlassian agreements.
Because billing runs through Atlassian, the relevant Atlassian terms apply to those matters in addition to these Terms. Where Atlassian's terms govern a billing, trial or refund question, they control over anything implied here.
Baselines has a frontend built on Atlassian Forge that runs inside your Atlassian Cloud environment, and a backend that Plugin Developers operates on Amazon Web Services (AWS). To provide baselines, the App reads your Confluence content and processes it on that backend; baseline records (references to your pages, together with the space, schedule, permission and settings data the App needs) are stored in a database on AWS. Unlike a Forge-only app, the App therefore transmits the Confluence content it processes to Plugin Developers' backend — we do not represent that your content stays inside Atlassian.
Because the App relies on Atlassian's platform and on Plugin Developers' AWS backend, its availability, performance and security depend in part on those services. Your use of Confluence and Atlassian Cloud remains governed by your own agreements with Atlassian. How the App handles data is described in the Privacy Policy and Security & data residency page.
You agree to use Baselines only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms, the Atlassian Marketplace terms, and the Forge platform's policies. You will ensure that everyone you permit to use the App does the same. You will not, and will not allow others to:
You are responsible for the baselines, schedules, permissions and other configuration you create, and for deciding which content to snapshot, export or import.
The App, including its software, design, user interface, documentation and all related intellectual property, is owned by Plugin Developers (or its licensors) and is protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. Plugin Developers reserves all rights, title and interest not expressly granted to you under these Terms.
"Baselines", the Baselines logo and Plugin Developers' other marks are the property of Plugin Developers. These Terms do not grant you any right to use those marks except as needed to use the App as intended. "Atlassian", "Confluence", "Forge" and related marks belong to Atlassian, and "AWS" and "Amazon Web Services" belong to Amazon; they are used here for identification only.
Plugin Developers does not claim ownership of your Confluence content or of the baselines and configuration you create. As between you and Plugin Developers, those remain yours. You grant Plugin Developers only the limited rights necessary for the App to read your Confluence content, process it on the backend, store the baseline records, and — when you ask it to — export or import that content, so that the App can function. Plugin Developers does not sell, rent or disclose your data to third parties, and processes it only as described in the Privacy Policy.
If you send us suggestions or feedback about the App, you grant Plugin Developers a perpetual, royalty-free licence to use that feedback to improve our products, without obligation to you.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", with all faults and without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Plugin Developers disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.
Plugin Developers does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the App will meet your requirements, nor that any baseline, comparison, export or import will be complete or error-free. You are responsible for verifying any content you rely on. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Plugin Developers and its suppliers and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or business, arising out of or relating to the App or these Terms, whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability or otherwise, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total aggregate liability of Plugin Developers arising out of or relating to the App or these Terms will not exceed the amounts you paid for the App through the Atlassian Marketplace in the twelve (12) months immediately before the event giving rise to the liability, or, if you obtained the App at no charge, fifty US dollars (US$50).
These limitations apply even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify and hold harmless Plugin Developers and its officers, employees, suppliers and licensors from and against any third-party claims, damages, liabilities, losses and reasonable costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your use or misuse of the App; (b) your violation of these Terms, the Atlassian Marketplace terms or any applicable law; (c) the baselines, schedules, permissions or configuration you create, or your decisions about which content to snapshot, export or import; or (d) your infringement or misappropriation of any third-party right. Plugin Developers will notify you of the claim, let you control its defence (any settlement that imposes an obligation on Plugin Developers needs our prior written consent), and reasonably cooperate at your expense. This section does not limit any mandatory consumer rights you may have.
You may end this agreement at any time by uninstalling Baselines from your Atlassian site through the Marketplace or your Atlassian administration. These Terms also terminate automatically if your Marketplace entitlement for the App lapses or is cancelled, or if you materially breach these Terms and do not cure the breach within a reasonable time after notice.
On termination:
Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law — survive.
Plugin Developers may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect new features, changes to the App or legal and regulatory requirements. When we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide notice through the App or the Marketplace listing. Changes take effect when posted. Your continued use of the App after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree to a change, your remedy is to stop using and uninstall the App.
These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or to the App, are governed by the laws of the European Union and the applicable local laws of the EU member state in which Plugin Developers is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The competent courts of that member state have non-exclusive jurisdiction over such disputes. This clause does not deprive you of any mandatory consumer protections, or of any rights under applicable data-protection law (including the EU General Data Protection Regulation), available to you under the laws of your own place of residence. Your acquisition of the App through the Atlassian Marketplace remains governed by the terms Atlassian specifies for that transaction.
These Terms, together with the Atlassian Marketplace terms that apply to your acquisition of the App and the Baselines Privacy Policy and End User Licence Agreement, are the entire agreement between you and Plugin Developers regarding the App, and supersede any prior understandings on that subject. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. Plugin Developers' failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms without our consent, except as part of a permitted transfer of your Atlassian site; Plugin Developers may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. Headings and summaries are for convenience only.
