Permissions
Baselines works within Confluence's own permission model. It only ever captures content it is allowed to read, and only writes to Confluence when you explicitly import a baseline.
What the app can do

| Write content | To publish a baseline back into Confluence when you use Import & restore. |
| Act on your behalf | So snapshots and imports respect your Confluence access. |
A Confluence administrator approves these permissions when the app is installed.
Content access
Because Baselines acts within your access, a baseline reflects the pages you can already see. Users cannot use the app to reach content they wouldn't otherwise be permitted to view.
Least surprise
Nothing is written to Confluence unless you choose to Import a baseline, and imports create a new page rather than overwriting existing content. Capturing, viewing, comparing and exporting baselines never modify your live pages.
